What do I need to rent a motorcycle in New Zealand?
A valid motorcycle licence and a credit card for the security bond are required.
Can I rent a motorcycle with an overseas licence?
Yes, if your licence is in English or accompanied by an official translation or International Driving Permit (IDP).

Is there a minimum age to rent a motorcycle?
Yes the minimum age is 21.
Do I need a full motorcycle licence?
Yes.
What is the minimum rental period?
Usually 3 days. Shorter rentals may be possible on request.
Is a learner's licence accepted?
No. A learner’s licence is not sufficient to rent a motorcycle.
Do you offer scooters or mopeds?
Not currently — we specialize in road and adventure motorcycles.
Can I test ride the bike before renting?
No test rides, but we ensure all bikes are in top condition and walk you through controls at pickup.
Do you allow pillion (passenger) riders?
Yes, most bikes are pillion-capable. Passengers must wear safety gear.

How do I make a booking?
You can book online, via email, or over the phone.
Do I need to pay a deposit to book?
Yes. A deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

No, we require credit card payment for security and bond handling.

Do you charge a bond or security deposit?
Yes, this is held on your credit card during the rental period.
When is the bond released?
After the bike is returned in good condition, usually within 3–5 business days.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes, basic insurance is included.

Where do I pick up and return the motorcycle?
At our Waiuku, Auckland depot — full address provided in your booking confirmation.

Do you offer delivery or pickup from Auckland Airport?
We offer complimentary transfers by arrangement. Please enquire.
Do you offer one-way rentals?
Currently, all bikes must be returned to our Waiuku depot unless otherwise agreed.

Can I return the motorcycle outside business hours?
Yes, after-hours drop-off is available by appointment.

Do I need to refuel the bike before returning it?
Yes, please return the bike with a full tank of petrol to avoid a refueling fee.

What happens if I return the bike late?
Late returns may incur additional charges. Contact us if you’re delayed.

Can someone else pick up the bike for me?
No, the primary rider must be present with ID and licence at pickup.

Can someone else ride the bike during my rental?
Only if they are added to the rental agreement and meet all licence requirements.

Do I get a helmet and gear with my rental?
Helmet and gloves are provided with every rental free of charge.

You may be liable up to your insurance excess. We'll inspect the bike at return.

Most bikes use 95 octane petrol. Fuel type is indicated on the bike.

Can I fit my own luggage system or rack?
You may fit soft luggage with approval, but permanent modifications are not allowed.
